The CAP Leadership Project is developing a hands-on, experiential activity book to supplement the "Learn to Lead, Module One - Personal Leadership" textbook.
Activities can be constructed such that all cadets participate in the basic activity, yet follow-up questions could be crafted to meet the needs of new and advanced cadets alike.
Details
Lesson plans must be easy to understand, yet detailed enough for a 15-year-old cadet officer to lead, under adult guidance. Lesson duration should last 25-35 minutes.
Lesson plans should be in text format. CAP will handle layout and graphics. Do not include any PowerPoint slides.
Need help? Read "Elements of a Lesson Plan," found in the CAP
Cadet Staff Handbook (CAPP 52-15, pgs. 14-16).
The LEX Activity Guide may include the following:
• About 24 team leadership problems - Each team leadership problem lesson plan should be activity focused and address one of the following themes: icebreakers, teamwork fundamentals, problem solving, communication skills, conflict resolution, or leadership styles. You may also focus on a specific subject found in the "Learn to Lead, Module One - Personal Leadership" textbook.
Each lesson plan will include step-by-step instructions on how to lead the activity, plus discussion questions for a debriefing phase where cadets summarize the lessons learned.
The team leadership problem lesson must be your original work and not copied or modified from another source.
Each lesson plan will have the following headers, that you will fully address:
Lesson Title
Overview Statement
Connection to the Curriculum (what objectives in the textbook are being addressed)

Activity Description and Step-by-Step Instructions
Discussion Questions (using the comprehension level of Bloom's Taxonomy)
